The Club What could be more tempting to the avid golfer than the opportunity to play on two championship courses while staying in the grounds of a fabulous estate, and former home of two British Prime Ministers. Brocket Hall Golf Club is situated in the beautiful 18th century parkland of the 543 acre Brocket Hall Estate in Hertfordshire. Here you will find two challenging 18 hole Championship Golf Courses, the Faldo Golf Institute, the magnificence of Brocket Hall, the Melbourne Lodge, and the award winning, much acclaimed lakeside restaurant, Novelli at Auberge du Lac. Overlooking the Broadwater and with superb views of Brocket Hall, the Watershyppes Clubhouse is the perfect place for guests to relax and share a drink in the Members' bar or freshen-up in the luxurious and well-equipped changing rooms after a round of golf. It is also the ideal environment for entertaining and for business needs and includes a choice of dining facilities and meeting rooms. The present Hall, built in 1760, has been home to two British Prime Ministers and is a favourite retreat of royalty. Appropriately, Brocket Hall's two Championship Golf Courses are named after the Prime Ministers who used to reside at Brocket Hall. The Melbourne Course, designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark and the Palmerston which was designed by the renowned architect Donald Steel.
