The Golf

Melbourne

The Melbourne Course, designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark follows the natural undulations and contours of the 18th Century parkland. The par 72 provides a most enjoyable challenge in stunning surroundings. The course crosses the River Lea several times, and golfers are carried across the Broadwater by a ferry to complete the 18th hole. The Melbourne Course features the River Lea wending its way through the Estate with four holes crossing it at various points. Its signature hole, the eighteenth is a par 5 across the water to a well-guarded Green with the Hall as its spectacular backdrop. Popular with Corporate days it offers a challenge to the low handicapper alike with improvers.

Palmerston

The par 73 Palmerston Course, designed by the renowned architect Donald Steel, wends its way through mature woodland. Rare Hornbeam, Scots and Corsican pine and 300 year old beech trees create some of the most spectacular hazards you are ever likely to encounter on a golf course. Similarly you could choose to play our Palmerston Course, a tree lined Championship Course designed by Donald Steele. Eighteen testing holes sculptured through ancient woodland, it offers stunning views from the tees and fairways. Although there are no water hazards to concern you on this one, the undulating and twisting fairways more than compensate.
