The Golf The Hanbury Manor PGA Championship course was designed by Jack Nicklaus II and host to The English Open 1997-1999. Take the teasing first hole; you have a choice to drive right over the gully towards the pin, setting up birdie or down the right leaving tough second. The 17th, which is the feature hole, is set in the shadow of the old Manor House and a great par 5. The green is reachable in 2 with big hits over wood and water. With many long and varied holes and cleverly placed mature trees and water hazards, this course is not only picturesque but measures over 7,000 yards long and is a memorable test. |
