Location

Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club is located in the Old Deer Park at Richmond upon Thames, Surrey. There are sports fields between it and the A316 and it is bounded on its other sides by Richmond Athletic Ground (home ground for Richmond and London Scottish Rugby Clubs), London Welsh Rugby Ground, Kew Gardens and the River Thames. It is not to be confused with Richmond Golf Club which is at Petersham, nor with the public golf courses in Richmond Park.

If coming from the west approach along the A316 (Chertsey Road). If using the M25 leave at Junction 12 and follow the M3 towards London until it becomes the A316. After crossing Twickenham Bridge pass the sports fields on the left and take the first left entry - signposted Richmond Baths (Pools on the Park) and Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club - and then almost immediately fork right through the Golf Club gate. The car park is on the right just before the Club House.

Allow plenty of time as the A316 is busy in the mornings, but the traffic keeps moving. If coming on the North Circular join the South Circular (A205) at Chiswick and after crossing Kew Bridge turn right at the lights and follow the road by Kew Gardens (A307) until reaching the large roundabout at Richmond: exit west on the A316 and after 100 yards enter the right filter lane and take the second gap - also signposted as above - and cross the other carriageway into the entry to the Baths and the Golf Club. Anyone approaching by another route should come to the Richmond roundabout and exit west on the A316 in the same way.
