The Golf

There are two courses at St Pierre, The Mathern Course (5732 yards par 68)and The Old Course (6925 yards par 71). The famous Old Course has hosted a number of important tournaments since it opened in 1962, including the 1996 Solheim Cup and the 2000 Welsh Masters. It’s a testing par 71 from the back tees and with the estate’s huge 11 acre lake featuring at the 15th and 17th holes which will eat up shots if you are long into the green. The 18th hole is one of the hardest, a 235 yard par 3 which also brings the lake into play. The Malthern course is a shorter but eminently trickier layout with a stream crossing six fairways and also ends with a long par 3.
