The Golf

The course was designed by Donald Steele to make the most of the many mature pine trees. At just under 6000 yards par 70, although not long it is tricky with many cleverly placed trees and bunkers. Many of the tee shots require thought and placement rather than a huge drive. At the 13th, for example, you can choose between an iron off the tee and leaving a longer approach, or a driver and flirting with bunkers either side of the fairway. A great course in a relaxing setting, but beware  Donald Steele didn't design this course to be taken for granted!
